So why is SearchMasters ranking so low on Google.com?
It is basically TIME. It takes time for Google to rank you on various engines. It lets you up the ranks slowly, even though you may deserve to rank higher. Obviously the sandbox period is less on the country specific engines. SearchMasters was first online around September 2006 meaning it has been online around 11 months. That is a long sandbox period for Google.com.
What other possible reasons could there be for the Google.com sandbox period?
- Is Google looking at the number of NZ incoming links as compared to .com links? I don't have that many .com or other international links into the Time2Dine page, but I do have many international incomings
- My Time2Dine site is a .co.nz, so its not that it is ranking .com sites higher on Google.com

SearchMasters - among the top 250 Search Engine Optimization Companies worldwide!!!!!
Rankings on Google for "Search Engine Optimization"
I have not really thought it possible for SearchMasters to rank on Google.com for the phrase "Search Engine Optimization". I am primarily optimizing for the British spelling with an 's', and I reported on my positions above.
So it was with great surprise that I found that I ranked now 242th on Google.com from a USA based proxy.
And 45th on Google.com from an NZ ip address.
This is certainly a good result when compared against say FirstRate - they don't appear in the top 1000 on Google.com from an NZ ip address.

A very interesting update. SearchMasters is now old enough, it has the required number of grey hairs to appear in its proper place in the Google.com search results for Search Engine Optimisation.
From Google.com via a USA based proxy = 37th
Google.com via New Zealand ip address = 23rd!!!! This is where I expect the USA based search to increase to.
September 2006 - September 2007 = 1 year to rank well on Google.com. Very interesting.
