When will Google next update the toolbar Google Page Rank??? The Google Toolbar record of page rank is normally updated every three months. Internally, it is said to be continually recalculating it. However, the three month cycle was due 21 July 2007, its now 15 September 2007.Matt Cutts has said on the DigitalPoint forum 6 Sept 2007:
So what is the hold up??? He is not saying that it is being stopped. But there are definitely some issues somewhere in the mix. It beggars the question about their internal calculations, are they really ongoing??? If the internal calculations were really ongoing, then it should be just a matter of flicking the switch to show them publically. It is my guess that the three monthly cycle is when they do a major recalc of the Page Rank, and that the internal calculations are an ongoing approximation.
With the ongoing saga about Google hating paid links, it is quite possible that they are trying to delete such page rank attribution from the calc before making the toolbar page rank visible.

And the Google PR update is starting to happen - Around 7th October 2007. A number of large websites are seeing their Google PR drop one point, leading to speculation that the Log factor between PR levels is increasing.
As at the moment, the PR update is not yet moving to inner pages.
